English Paper Piecing! It’s crazy how popular it is. English paper piecing has been the traditional method for making intricate quilts, including the Grandmother’s Flower Garden pattern, which is the pattern my great grandmother made. Legend has it that she made 22 quilts, all by hand – one for each of her grandchildren. I am of the next generations so I am not a lucky recipient. So, I’m on the journey to make my own. I love it but with all the other quilt projects I have in process, this one is going to take me forever. If you’re interested in this technique, this is the place you need to go.
